Decadent Gourmet

Quick Facts

  • Offered Saturdays & Sundays from 3:00pm– 6:00pm
  • $35 per person (gratuity not included)
  • Stops at 5 Philadelphia gourmet stops to indulge in sumptuous cheeses, a delicious PA farm-fresh treat, a variety of Middle Eastern delights, a decadent chocolate treat, and an assortment of lucious gelato.
  • A tasting adventure, not a full meal
  • Great for everyone, especially folks in the tri-state region!

How does this experience compare to other tours in Philadelphia?

  • We serve up a nice variety of treats. A tour serving up nothing but chocolate may sound like a good idea, but our experience is that it feels a little "been there, done that" after the first couple of stops.
  • We’re a better value! With us you'll enjoy 5 distinctive, tantalizing treats.
  • We don’t pressure you to shop at each location. We spend the time sharing useful fun facts about every tasty morsel.
  • Our down-to-earth food pros are fun loving and naturally gregarious—no fake bubbly act or memorized scripts.
  • We’re boyfriend friendly. We make sure the guys have as much fun as the ladies.

All the Yummy Details

Hold on to your taste buds! This 3-hour gourmet tasting adventure in the heart of Philadelphia will introduce you to tastings of 5 world-class, decadent treats at 5 of the city’s best gourmet destinations!

Your friendly and knowledgeable guide will start you off at the iconic Reading Terminal Market for an insider’s highlight tour that will introduce you to the market’s history, layout, and stops at 3 foodie havens, not to be missed. Your “gourmand’s-eye view” of the market will have you zipping through the aisles like a seasoned market regular. Your Reading Terminal Market visit includes:

  • Fair Food Farmstand, known for its unparalleled array of artisanal foods from small, family farms in the tri-state area. Dive into an addictively delicious snack while we fill you in on the “Buy Fresh, Buy Local” movement sweeping the nation.
  • Kamal's Middle Eastern Specialties, for a delicious assortment of hummus, baba ghanoush, grape leaves, falafel, and couscous.
  • Flying Monkey, the market’s sweet spot, will have your heart aflutter after one bite of their sinfully rich cake truffles—a truly innovative chocolate treat.

Next up, a visit to Philadelphia’s most famous gourmet superstore, Di Bruno Bros. During our 8-block walk to the posh neighborhood of Rittenhouse Square, your guide will point out significant architecture and a few hot restaurants to add to your “Must Visit” list. In Di Bruno’s renowned cheese cave, we’ll lavish you with hearty portions of 4 fantastic farmstead and imported cheeses. Your guide will share the inside scoop on how cheese is made, and we'll answer all of your questions about selecting and serving cheeses! We’ll arm you with the confidence to approach any cheese shop like a pro and the skills to throw together one killer cheese board at your next party!

The sweet finale to your adventure is a visit to the best gelateria outside of Italy, Capogiro Gelato. Here’s your chance to test your taste buds during a blind tasting of 6 luscious gelato and sorbetto. As you indulge, we’ll dispel some common myths about gelato and share fun facts about how it’s different than ice cream.

This Tasting is perfect for individuals, couples, families and out-of-town guests! Great for Birthdays, Anniversaries, and dates! With more than 2.5 hours of indulging and less than 20 minutes of walking, this is perfect for people of all abilities.

This is a tasting adventure, not a full meal. This tour is not designed for children under the age of 14. Content is subject to change without notice. **In rare circumstances tours may be cancelled due to low attendance.
