Artisanal Beer & Cheese Event for Father's Day
Date: Sunday, June 21st: 3:30pm-5:30pm
Ditch the tie and give Dad something this Father's Day that he's sure to enjoy--great beer and delicious cheese! During this entertaining and delicious 2-hour event, you and Dad will sample the city's best artisanal beers and cheeses, including:
- A tasting flight of 8 superior craft beers representing a vast range of styles, served right on-site at one of Philadelphia's best local microbreweries
- A selection of decadent imported cheeses
You'll explore how the cheeses and beers are made, meet the culinary experts and chefs who prepare them, and learn what to look for in truly great food.
The event will end in one of the city's premier microbreweries, so feel free to stick around and enjoy some appetizers, drinks, or even dinner after the event. This is a perfect opportunity to enjoy a pint of the beer you liked most during the tasting!

Red, White & Blue Food Tour
Date: Saturday, July 4th; 3:30pm-6:00pm
To celebrate the birth of our nation, City Food Tours is taking you on a tour of Red, White & Blue American foods in the heart of Center City Philadelphia! On this entertaining and delicious 2 ½-hour tour, you'll sample a patriotic and decadent selection of the city's best artisanal and hand-crafted foods, including:
- A flight of California RED Wines
- Sinfully rich WHITE chocolates
- A vast array of American-made cheeses including BLUE cheeses
You'll explore how the foods are made, meet the culinary experts who prepare them, and learn what to look for in truly great food.
The tour will end Naked Chocolate Café at Rittenhouse Square --the perfect area to continue your adventure with a drink or dinner at surrounding fine dining establishments . Tours are perfect for individuals, couples, families and out-of-town guests!

Brazilian Cocktail Tasting
This tasting adventure takes place at a Brazilian Steakhouse for a demonstration and tasting of 4 festive, traditional Brazilian drinks that includes the national drink of Brazil--the Caipirinha, as well as Xingu Beer, a Caipiroska, and a Chilean Merlot. As you enjoy your drinks, your guide will share the quirky stories behind each drink, demonstrate how to make them, and share insight into some Brazilian traditions. You'll even learn how to toast in Portuguese!

French Pastry Tasting
During our decadent French pastry tasting, you’ll be treated to a sinful selection of 5 individual French pastries and desserts. While we indulge in a variety of decadent treats, a former pastry chef will share the tradition of French pastry arts and let you in on the secrets behind how they are made. Flavored iced tea, hot tea, and coffee are also included.

Wine and Chocolate Pairing
This tasting includes a decadent duo—wine and chocolate! You'll enjoy a great selection of luscious chocolates, including white, milk, dark, and varietal chocolates, as well as a rich chocolate truffle. We'll also sample cocoa beans, cocoa butter and cocoa nibs during the tasting. Three of the chocolates will be paired with 3 delicious wines. In addition to tasting, we will share the inside scoop on how wine and chocolate are made, share tips on tasting and evaluating, and answer any questions guests may have about pairing foods and wines.

Asian Cocktail Tasting
Introducing our newest cocktail experience! You’ll taste your way through the Far East as we compare 2 different Japanese sakes, enjoy a crisp and refreshing Chinese beer, and a fun cocktail inspired by Thai iced tea. While you enjoy this selection of exotic drinks, Robert Weinberg--one of the owners of City Food Tours who lived in Japan for 2 years—will reveal how sake and Asian-inspired beers are made, and some of the festive drinking traditions in Japan and China—you’ll even learn how to toast in several languages. Beer Tasting
This event takes place in one of the city’s best microbreweries! While you enjoy 5 superior craft beers, each brewed on-site and representing a vast range of styles, Eric Matzke--one of the owners of City Food Tours--will share some fun facts about how beer is made, the quirky stories behind each brew you taste, and pairing suggestions. Samples of malted barleys and hops will also be available to smell and taste. Throughout the event, guests will have the chance to ask questions and 'earn' handmade candies by answering light-hearted questions about beer and beer making. If desired, a competitive team-building contest, including prizes, can be incorporated. Beer and Cheese: A Match Made in Heaven! Following the beer tasting, we can conduct a tasting of 5 decadent cheeses, each masterfully paired with an accompaniment. In addition to savoring an exquisite variety of farmstead and imported cheeses, we will share the inside scoop on how cheeses are made, the 7 groups of cheeses, and answer any questions guests may have.

Soap Making
Held in the soap kitchen at Duross & Langel, your exclusive event with Soap Master, Steve Duross, begins with an entertaining demonstration showing how popular food ingredients like chocolate, coffee, tea, and the essential oils from fruits and vegetables are used to create aromatic soaps and candles, soothing lip balms, rejuvenating bath scrubs, and healing salves. Next, you’ll roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty clean creating your very own Duross & Langel product! There are tons of options to match your event, and best of all, every guest will take home 2 oz. of the product they make! One of our most popular examples: Bachelorette Partiers can create hangover salves to sooth the toughest morning after, or balms perfect for sore muscles and feet from a night of tearing up the dance floor.

Tea Cocktail Tasting
This unique event takes place at the city’s best tea salon and begins with a tea tasting like nothing you’ve experienced before. You’ll taste 4 superior teas that will leave you feeling relaxed and recharged. For the grand finale, you’ll enjoy 2 innovative cocktails that incorporate a refreshing tea base. One of the libations is a mo-TEA-to, a fun and modern interpretation of the traditional mojito, combining rum and green tea. The other is a refreshing vodka drink with a fruit tea base. The owner of the tea salon will demonstrate how to make the drinks as you enjoy them. During the tasting, we’ll share some fun facts about how tea is made, the major groups of tea, and answer any questions you may have.
